I review why there is a fee when a patient requests a medication renewal without coming into the office. It involves reviewing the patient chart among other procedures. It is not covered by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan. If you ask for a service to be provided, there is fee for this service for most people. THere are exceptions for those over 65 or of limited financial means.
