The effort to develop the SARS-CoV-2 vaccine has been nothing short of remarkable. Within the next few months there should be some that receive approval for use. This will bring many logistical issues that require preparation given the unprecedented nature of a worldwide mass vaccination program. How should these programs be monitored and what should we expect from the vaccine rollouts? This will require pharmacovigilance.
Dr. Andrew Rut is CEO and co-founder of MyMeds&Me. He trained as a physician in the UK and USA, specialising in endocrinology and completing his thesis in genetics at Baylor in Houston. He has held senior roles spanning Drug Discovery and Development at GSK working in the USA, Europe and Asia-Pacific. Prior to founding the company, he was Head of Safety at GSK.
