Nonpharmacologic and pharmacologic interventions for the management of mild to moderate dementia

It can be a difficult task for both the patient and physician when trying to formulate an evidenced-based approach to treat dementia. Guidelines exist to help in this area but practising physicians frequently seek advice on the most effective interventions for dementia. A study in the November 4, 2008 edition of the Canadian Medical Association Journal gives practical guidance on nonpharmacologic and pharmacologic interventions for the management of mild to moderate dementia.
