The decision to remain unvaccinated is one’s right do so. However, it does not come without consequences to society as a whole and societal responses to those who have made that decision. If there is a significant percentage of our population that remains deliberately unvaccinated, it provides much greater opportunity for coronavirus mutations that could potentially circumvent the protections offered by vaccination. It is Natural Selection in real time and at an accelerated pace.
That is why it is so important for people to consider that it is in their best interest to vaccinate not only for the themselves but for the world at large. The virus has no borders. We do not live in a bubble and just as we have seen with bacterial superbugs that have learned to resist antibiotic treatment, so to is the risk that coronavirus will find a way to beat the vaccine by having free rein to repeatedly mutate until it finally hits the winning combination.
